quite the political week, yes? so many children squealing at each other.
on the upside—i think—illinois is now firmly democrat: chicago always is but we seem to be the odd kid out.
on the downside, the local cops took it upon themselves to completely overreact to yesterday’s trade conference protests downtown, never mind that publicly announced members included folks like The Pink Bloque (quoted in the article). i mean, really: how could you possibly see a threat in a demonstration that’s so darned cute?
me? i’m just looking around for an analogy for it all.
